“Ticket to Ride” Custom Board Game

This project was a labor of love—a fully playable, customized board game created as a special gift. My goal was to keep the core mechanics of the original "Ticket to Ride" board game while adapting the design and experience to honor the recipient. I didn't just redesign the visuals; I re-engineered the experience from the ground up:

• Strategic Game Design: I calculated every path on the game board to eliminate dead ends and minimize bottlenecks, ensuring fluid, competitive play.

• Curated Variety: I designed a custom set of route cards specifically balanced to encourage diverse strategies and replayability.

• Thematic Branding: Every element—from the custom box art to the map and destination cards—was illustrated in a unique style that references the original game, while making it truly one-of-a-kind.
